This game is taking me back in time and it's absolutely hilarious! I was watching an LP by thevoiceofdog and just had to stop and play it for myself. I think you perfectly distilled the feeling of that era: Graphic style, the innocence and optimism, cash grabs, sub cultures. As if I took a left turn at geocities.
I am rambling, but this game has brought me so much joy. I feel like a kid again who got a copy of Rebel Assault (on CD!) and is wowed at every step by the FMV. Then it's a few years later and I am finally on dial-up, reading all the "pro tips" like wiggling your mouse so the OS pumps the event loop a bit faster. Fast forward and I am a teenager who participates in forums with power hungry mods (SA anyone?) and who creates cheesy tribute pages for some niche interest. I still remember making (and publishing, dear god!) 3d models of questionable quality with a free version of Poser and POV-ray from a magazine CD.
TL;DR: BWL! Best 20 bucks I spent this year!
